Memo for IFRS S1 S2 08.08.2024 (003)We would like to inform you about the following update regarding the implementation of IFRS S1 and IFRS S2:
- The FICA Council has decided to defer the implementation of these standards.
- Initially planned for 1 January 2024, the new effective date is now set for 1 January 2026.
- This postponement allows members and organisations additional time to prepare for compliance.
- Organisations ready for early adoption are encouraged to proceed, as this will enable alignment with international best practices sooner.
