These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants (“FICA”, “we”, “us”, “our”) website and online services, including the Membership Portal integrated with third-party payment gateways. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or online services.

  1. Definitions

“Website” refers to fica.org.fj and any associated subdomains.
“Services” refers to all online FICA services, including membership management, event registrations, payments, and information pages.
“User”, “you”, “your” refers to any individual or entity accessing or using the Website.
“Payment Gateway Providers” refers to third-party payment processors such as Mastercard Payment Gateway Services (MPGS).

  1. Use of the Website

By using this Website, you agree to:

  • Use the Website only for lawful and relevant purposes.
  • Not interfere with the security or integrity of the Website.
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when required.
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to restricted areas of the Website.

FICA reserves the right to restrict access, suspend features, or terminate usage for any misuse or violation of these Terms.

  1. Membership Portal

FICA provides an online platform for members and registered users to:

  • View and update membership details.
  • Manage annual subscriptions and event registrations.
  • Make secure online payments.
  • Access digital certificates, receipts, and confirmations.

You acknowledge that:

  • It is your responsibility to ensure the correct membership number, payment details, and contact information when making payments.
  • FICA is not liable for payments made using incorrect or incomplete information submitted by you.
  • Any duplicate or incorrect payments must be reported promptly for investigation.
  1. Payment Gateway Integration

FICA uses trusted, PCI-compliant third-party payment gateways to process online payments.

4.1 Merchant Account Management

  • FICA manages the technical integration only.
  • The customer acknowledges that FICA does not manage the merchant account onboarding or approval process.
  • API credentials (Test or Live) are provided and controlled by the Payment Gateway Provider.
  • Testing may require live transactions, which must be performed by the customer and/or authorised FICA personnel as required.

4.2 Payment Processing

  • All debit/credit card or mobile wallet transactions are securely processed by the Payment Gateway Provider.
  • FICA does not store full card numbers, CVV codes, or sensitive payment details.
  • FICA is not responsible for:
    • Payment gateway downtime.
    • Transaction failures due to bank or network issues.
    • Delays caused by third-party systems.
  1. Fees and Charges

Payment gateway fees, bank charges, or processing fees may apply depending on the payment method.
Any paid plugins, modules, or third-party services required for integration or additional functionality will be at the client’s cost, unless mutually agreed otherwise.

  1. Refunds & Reversals

Refunds are issued only after verification and approval by FICA’s Finance Team.
Refunds may take 5–15 working days depending on the payment provider and banking processes.
Any incorrect payments must be reported immediately to: info@fica.org.fj

  1. Data Privacy

All information collected through this Website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By using the Website, you consent to:

  • The collection and processing of your personal and payment information.
  • Sharing relevant payment data with authorised Payment Gateway Providers.
  • Standard security and fraud-prevention checks.
  1. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website, including logos, text, documents, graphics, and images, is the exclusive property of FICA.
Users must not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute website content without written permission.
  • Use FICA branding, trademarks, or materials for commercial purposes without approval.
  1. Availability & System Maintenance

FICA endeavours to ensure uptime but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
We may conduct:

  • Scheduled maintenance.
  • Emergency updates.
  • Security upgrades.

FICA is not liable for:

  • Temporary service disruptions.
  • Delays caused by hosting or payment providers.
  1. Limitation of Liability

FICA is not liable for any:

  • Direct or indirect financial loss.
  • Loss of data.
  • Transaction failure due to gateway or banking issues.
  • Misuse of information provided by the user.
  • Errors in user-submitted membership details or payments.

Your use of the Website is entirely at your own risk.

  1. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold FICA harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of:

  • Incorrect payments.
  • Misuse of the Website.
  • Fraudulent activities.
  • Violations of these Terms.

The Website may contain external links. FICA is not responsible for:

  • The content, privacy practices, or security of any third-party websites.
